Memories of Partition Revisiting Saadat Hasan Manto Sudha Tiwari 2012 was the birth centenary of Saadat Hasan Manto and was celebrated in Lahore, Karachi, New York, and his own “muse” Bombay (now Mumbai). Besides being Short Story Writer Saadat Hasan Manto was also a film and radio scriptwriter, and journalist. In his short life, he published twenty-two collections of short stories, one novel, five collections of radio plays, three collections of essays, two collections of personal sketches.
